Cloud-based Solution Makes Surfacing Fun

3D Sculptor is easy to learn and use—CAD expertise not required

Watch the video to learn more about 3D Sculptor, and how it simplifies advanced surface modeling.

More and more mechanical and electrical engineers are being called on to develop the look and feel, or aesthetics, of products, along with their structural design. 3D Sculptor is a browser-based subdivision (Sub-D) modeling Role that enables the quick and efficient creation of ergonomic and organically shaped models.

Sub-D modeling in 3D Sculptor starts with a globe, cylinder, torus, or other primitive shapes that are pushed and pulled into their desired form. Images and sketches can also function as templates to create 3D surface geometry.

Because 3D Sculptor is on the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, it is easy to get immediate feedback from all team members on your concept designs. Plus, you can design and work with teammates whether at home, at the office, or on the road since all you need is a browser and an internet connection.

3D Sculptor is seamlessly integrated with the SOLIDWORKS® desktop, so moving back and forth between the two is a cinch.
