SOLIDWORKS Simulation's optimization analysis tool allows designers to create a series of simulation studies that vary model dimensions to accomplish an engineering goal.
There are 3 major parts to an optimization analysis includes:
- Variables are the properties of a simulation input that are user-modified.
- Parameters are desired output ranges or values of an optimization study.
- Goals are an output of a simulation, and it defines the desired result.
When the optimization analysis completes, the study indicates which set of dimensions produces the most optimal design that accomplishes the engineering goal.
