See How to Design, Print and Fly an R/C Plane for Aerial Photography

Learn how 3DAeroventures leveraged 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS design tools to grow their business

SOLIDWORKS recently partnered with 3DAeroventures, started by R/C aircraft hobbyist turned business man, Eric Haddad, to showcase his process of moving from design to 3D printing. One of his more complex projects was a more traditional aircraft design complete with a full fuselage, as well as a standard wing and tail configuration. The model is inspired by "the AirCam," a home-built aircraft originally developed in conjunction with National Geographic Magazine for aerial photography and in-flight video.

Due to the unique shape of the wingtips, Eric utilized the 3D Sculptor design tool from the 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS portfolio to help develop their organic form. Read the blog and watch the video to learn more about the benefits of combining the sub-d modeling tool with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD solution.
